Work-based learning experiences offered by the City of Columbia provide students with a professional work environment along with high expectations for learning the technical skills required for various career pathways.

“This partnership is an opportunity of a lifetime giving young people a chance to work in areas of interest while teaching the soft skills that most employers want such as how to problem-solve, communicate, critically think, and the importance of  being team players with great attitudes. The ability to earn money while gaining on-the-job experience makes this partnership that much more attractive.”
